Hello and welcome! This page is dedicated to raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer and to alert the public of the serverity of this disease. According to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 46,000 Americans will be diagnosed with the disease this year, and more than 39,000 will die from it, as it has the lowest 5 year survival rate of any major cancer. With such a high death rate it is my hope to raise funds solely dedicated to one day finding a cure. 

 

I myself have been affected by Pancreatic Cancer. In November of 2011, I was informed my mother had been diagnosed with the disease. My mother was such a fighter and a very strong woman. Throughout her bout against Pancreatic Cancer she managed to keep laughing, loving, and most importantly living her life. On April 14, 2014, my dear mother unfortunately lost her battle with cancer.  

 

​The loss of my mother was more than heartbreaking, but it in turn made me want to learn more about Pancreatic Cancer, not only for myself but for others in the hopes that they will not have to lose a loved one to the disease. In order to achieve this goal I have formed a team with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network called, "Linda's Angels," in honor of my mother, and plan to participate in the PurpleStride walk in Charlotte, NC on September 6, 2014.
